The 100-Night Sleep Guarantee and 10-Year Warranty: What's Actually Covered

Every mattress store advertises some version of a sleep trial and a warranty, and almost none of them explain what those things actually mean until you are standing at the counter with a problem. So the fine print becomes a surprise, and the surprise becomes a bad review.

We would rather you know exactly what our 100-Night Sleep Guarantee and 10-year warranty cover — and what they do not — before you spend a dollar. Here it is, with nothing softened.

The 100-Night Sleep Guarantee: what it is

If your new mattress is not right for your body, you have 100 nights to come into the store and exchange it for a different one. One exchange, done in person at any of our 6 Saskatchewan stores, with a $99 exchange fee.

Why 100 nights? Because your body needs most of that time to give a fair verdict. Industry-wide, sleep trials typically run 90 to 120 nights — the Sleep Foundation notes that is the standard range — precisely because the first weeks on a new mattress are an adjustment period, not a verdict. A mattress that feels wrong on night five may feel perfect by night forty. One that is genuinely wrong for you will still be wrong at night sixty, and that is what the guarantee is for.

The 100-Night Guarantee: what it is not

This is the part most retailers mumble. Ours works like this:

It is not a refund program. You do not get your money back after sleeping on a mattress for three months. You get a comfort exchange — a different mattress that actually fits you.
It is one exchange, not unlimited. You cannot cycle through the floor a mattress at a time. This is why we push the fitting process so hard up front — the goal is to get it right the first time and never need the guarantee at all.
There is a $99 exchange fee. Not hidden, not waived if you ask twice. It exists because an exchanged mattress cannot be resold as new, and $99 is the honest cost of that.
It happens in store. You come in, we re-fit you, you leave with the right mattress. That is also the best possible outcome for you — the second fitting has 100 nights of real information behind it.

If a competitor's "free returns, no questions asked" sounds better, ask them what happens to the price of every mattress in a store that eats unlimited returns. You are paying for that policy somewhere.

The 10-year warranty: what it actually covers

The manufacturer's 10-year warranty covers defects — things that mean the mattress was not built right or is failing structurally:

• Sagging or body impressions deeper than the manufacturer's stated normal tolerance — every warranty card specifies the depth, because some settling of comfort layers is normal and expected
• Broken or protruding coils, split seams, foam that physically breaks down
• Defects in the cover or construction

What it does not cover, at our store or anyone else's:

Comfort preference. Deciding in year three that you would rather have something softer is not a defect. That is what the 100 nights were for.
Normal wear. A mattress at year eight will not feel like it did at year one. Gradual softening within tolerance is aging, not failure.
Damage. Stains and burns void warranties across the industry — a stained mattress cannot be inspected or handled for a claim, which is why a mattress protector is genuinely a warranty document you sleep under, not an upsell.
Improper support. A mattress on a broken box spring, wide-gapped slats, or a frame with no centre support will sag — and that sag is not covered. The warranty assumes the foundation did its job.

The outlet exception — read this before you buy there

Our Regina Outlet on Rochdale runs on different terms, and we want you to know them walking in, not at the counter: outlet items are final sale — no 100-night exchange — and carry a 3-year warranty instead of 10. That is the honest trade for outlet pricing. For a guest room or a tight budget it can be a great deal. For your main bed, if you are not certain about fit, buy where the guarantee applies.

How to never need any of this

The guarantee and the warranty are safety nets, and the best safety net is the one you never touch. Get fitted properly before you buy, put the mattress on a proper base, use a protector from night one, and give yourself the full adjustment period before judging. Do those four things and the odds say you will read this post once and never think about it again — whether you bought in Yorkton, Saskatoon, or anywhere in between.

Want to get the fit right the first time?

Stop in to any of our 6 Saskatchewan stores. Try the Discovery Experience — free, about 30 minutes, no appointment, no pressure. We map where your body actually puts pressure on a mattress and fit you to the right setup — so the guarantee stays exactly what it should be: a safety net you never use.
